01

The contact data model

A Contact in Baseerat represents an individual person. Every contact has a record page showing their details, all associated deals, and a full activity timeline. Contacts can be associated with one Company (the M2M relationship is available on Enterprise).

02

Companies

A Company represents an organization. Multiple contacts can belong to one company. When you view a company record, you see all contacts, all deals linked through those contacts, and aggregate revenue metrics.

03

Standard fields

Standard contact fields: First name, Last name, Email (unique), Phone, Title, Company, Source (where they came from), Owner (the salesperson), Status (Active, Inactive), and Created at. Standard company fields: Name, Domain, Industry, Size (employee count), and ARR.

04

Custom fields

Beyond standard fields, you can add unlimited custom fields of types: Text, Number, Date, Dropdown (single), Multi-select, Checkbox, URL, and File. Custom fields appear in the contact record, import/export, filters, and API. See the Custom Fields article for setup instructions.

05

Filters & views

Use the Filters bar on the Contacts list to segment by any field. Save a filtered view as a Segment (e.g., "Enterprise leads in Lahore"). Segments update in real-time and can be used as the basis for bulk actions, sequences, or reports.

06

Activity timeline

Every contact has a timeline showing all interactions in chronological order: emails sent and received, calls logged, notes added, deals created and updated, WhatsApp messages, and web activity (with the tracking pixel). You can filter the timeline by activity type.
